1. How do you think the rise of social networking affects language use? (Give some examples). The rise of social networking affects language use because everyone always keeps up with the new technology or famous people. Mostly with new technology because its a way of interacting with people or communication. The communication with people within technology is different from how people normally speak only because when people are iming or sending emails its like their in a hurry so they start to abbreviate or try to make words smaller. For example laughing out loud people write lol. Or btw means by the way. Its going to keep growing and people will get so customed to it when they have to write its going to be incorrect. Technology will take over. 
2. Does the spread of the Internet and other technologies create a larger need for English knowledge around the world, or reduce its necessity? I think they should reduce the use of internet and other technologies just a little only because like I said I believe technology will take over. People will become lazy and start typing everything so when they have to finally hand print a paper its going to be very sloppy since they became so used to typing with a computer or their cellphones.
